Sustainability Committee mission

To educate members about the business case for environmental and social sustainability; provide them with the tools and resources to implement sustainability as it relates to their organization; and develop the broader community that will both support and attract green businesses.

About the Committee

The SBIA has developed a sustainability committee with representatives from local businesses and the City of Vancouver to organize and coordinate green business programs for Strathcona area businesses. We're working to develop programs to build connections in our community and help companies become more competitive by integrating sustainability into their businesses. It is our goal that companies will not only become more competitive through this strategy but that we will also help to improve the area as a whole and begin to address some of the challenging social issues we face through collaboration and community.
